And that’s a wrap!
With our recent "Kooba 2024 Wrapped" launching, we thought we’d take this opportunity to take stock of all the great work we’ve undertaken at Kooba over the last year. Here’s our full year in review, complete with all of the numbers behind our success.
2,480,419 minutes of work
This year, Kooba tracked over 2.4 million minutes of work across all of our different projects. To put that in context, this equates to over 4.5 years of labour, the equivalent of one individual working 24/7 since summer 2020.
53 project launches
This has all translated into 53 unique project launches for both new and existing clients. These range from major website unveilings (see SETU, The Avoca Clinic, or ReproMed) to evidence-based upgrades on existing platforms (see TitanHQ). All in all, thats more than one project launch a week!
7 accessibility certificates
With Kooba devoting more time towards accessibility work this year, it made sense for our design and development teams to upgrade their credentials. 7 different team members received accessibility qualifications, helping to better integrate inclusion into all of our design and development work.
6 Mocktober masterpieces
This Mocktober saw a new approach, with 6 different teams going head-to-head in a day-long contest. See all the finished mockups, and the inspiration behind each project in our Mocktober blog.
5 new hires
With such a busy schedule, it's probably for the best that we've expanded the Kooba team. With 5 new hires across our UX, development, marketing and project management teams, Kooba has been well positioned to accommodate more projects than ever.
2 team trophies
In our inaugural "Kooba Awards" Jerry Ancheta won the Cornerstone Award for his incredible contributions to our Backend development, and Tom Gillan took home the Gamechanger Award for his transformative UX. Congrats to both for a massive year at Kooba!
2 shiny awards
This year Kooba was delighted to bring home two awards for best website! We claimed a Spider Award for our work on Payslip's site (marking back-to-back wins), and a Digital Media Award for our launch of the Skillnet Ireland website.
1 Christmas tree
Finally, December marks the arrival of our new Christmas tree! With the holiday season just around the corner, we've already gotten festive in the office, including (unfortunately) the debut of our new Christmas playlist.
That's our full summary of 2024, and we hope you'll join us for an even busier 2025. We can't wait to see what exciting new projects are waiting for us next year!
